Gucci "Five Continents"

From the 1960s to the early 1980s, Accornero was the head scarf designer at Gucci. However, in 1982, he passed away, and the brand had to invent a new visual language for its silk squares. This gave birth to a completely different type of imagery, a prime example of which is the "Five Continents" scarf. Europe is depicted in the center with the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome, and Big Ben in London. Asia, Africa, America, and Australia are placed along the edges.
