Gucci “Continents”

From the 1960s to the early 1980s, Accornero was the main scarf designer at Gucci. However, in 1982, he passed away, and the brand had to invent a new visual language for its silk squares. This led to the birth of a completely different type of imagery, exemplified by the "I Continenti" scarf. It features a koala on a bamboo tree in the center, surrounded by exotic animals inhabiting different continents around the globe. The scarf is signed by the artist "Magni," which is a valuable fact for collectors, as only three people, including him and Accornero, ever signed their scarves.
